On the morning of September 20, the opening ceremony of the 2025 World Manufacturing Convention was held in Hefei, Anhui. Wang Yong, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, delivered remarks and declared the conference open. Liang Yanshun, Secretary of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee, also delivered remarks, while Wang Qingxian, Deputy Secretary of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Anhui Province, presided over the ceremony. Liao Jiasheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group, was invited to attend the opening ceremony, accompanied by Cao Huabin, Member of the Group’s Party Committee and Deputy General Manager.

Themed “Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better Future”, the conference brought together representatives from domestic and international governments, enterprises, associations and research institutes, who delivered remarks or keynote speeches at the opening ceremony. The event also unveiled the 2025 Top 500 Chinese Manufacturing Enterprises list, the 2025 Manufacturing Digital Transformation Capability Rankings, and leading technologies and products in Anhui’s manufacturing sector. A major project signing ceremony was also held. Around 1,100 participants attended, including officials from relevant national ministries, provincial-level leaders, foreign dignitaries, executives of central SOEs and leading private enterprises, as well as well-known experts and scholars.

During the convention, Liao Jiasheng was invited to attend the “Central SOEs in Anhui” symposium, where he delivered a speech. He outlined CECEP’s strategic deployment and achievements in thoroughly implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, serving the protection of the Yangtze River, and deepening development in Anhui. He also presented CECEP’s cooperation vision from three perspectives: jointly building new models of ecological governance, creating new engines for industrial green upgrading, and fostering new drivers of high-quality development. He emphasized opportunities in wastewater and solid waste treatment, ecological restoration, energy conservation and clean energy supply, integrated energy management, smart lighting, dual carbon consulting, and supporting the realization of ecological product value. He also expressed CECEP’s firm confidence and determination to further expand its presence in Anhui and jointly build a beautiful Anhui. At the symposium, CECEP signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Anhui Ecological Environment Group. After the meeting, Liao Jiasheng held talks with Anhui Vice Governor Zhang Shuguang on further strengthening industrial and project cooperation in the fields of energy conservation and environmental protection.

While in Anhui, Liao Jiasheng also visited CNEPG Feixi Environmental Industry Demonstration Park, where he gained a detailed understanding of the production and operation of municipal waste-to-energy, kitchen waste, and sludge treatment projects. He toured production workshops, the central control room and the environmental education exhibition hall, held in-depth discussions with frontline technical and operations staff, and listened to work reports from CNEPG Feixi Company and Hefei Company on production, operations and Party building. He provided guidance on market expansion, technological innovation, lean management, workplace safety and environmental protection, receivables management and grassroots Party building.

Representatives from the Group’s Cooperation Department, General Office and CNEPG also attended the above activities.
