CECEP Construction Engineering Design Institute Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CECEP Construction”) collaborated with its partner Engineering Design & Research Institute of Sichuan University Co., Ltd. to participate in the Cambodia-China Culture and Art Exchange Center project planning workshop, launched by Yunnan Federation of Project Management Associations, in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, on November 20.

During the event, CECEP Construction briefed the design plan for the Concept Project of Cambodia-China Culture International Health Town in both Chinese and English to the attendees. The company elaborated the design plan from the perspectives of historical and cultural backgrounds of Cambodia and China, design style and concept, and cultural connotations. It also presented an animated rendering that vividly showcased the architectural design style, functional zoning and landscape layout of the project, which won high praise from Cambodian representatives, investors, and leaders at various levels in Yunnan Province.

After the workshop, the design team of CECEP Construction conducted in-depth communication with Cambodian representatives and the provincial government of Yunnan on details of the subsequent plan for the project. They decided to make the project a new landmark of Dianchi Lake in Kunming that aims to promote China-Cambodia interactions in culture, tourism, trade and other fields, especially cultural exchange, within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
